Gotland, with 57 000 year-round inhabitants and 950 000 visitors annually, has the capacity to handle large-scale meetings and events. As an example, the single most important annual political forum in Swedish politics, the Almedalen Week, is held here.

Wisby Strand Congress & Event has a capacity for 1 000 participants, a fantastic location, encircled by a medieval town wall and offering a magnificent view of the sea within walking distance.
Visby Airport is a mere 15 minutes by bicycle, or 5 minutes by car, from the city center. About 70% of the hotel rooms are eco-certified. Connections are extremely good with 8-12 flights and 3-5 ferry departures daily. Direct flights to Gotland year round:

The Hanseatic city of Visby, with its unique cultural riches, has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. A town wall 3½ km long encloses the old stone houses, churches and streets of the merchants. The imposing church ruins, now used for meetings and events, are a reminder of the riches of medieval Gotland.
Gotland is an eye-opener! It brings its history to life and invites you to join in, whether in medieval ruins, in a barn out in the countryside or in a fishing village by the sea. Why not try a dinner in one of Visby’s marvelous church ruins? S:t Nicolai Kultudralen, an amazing church ruin in the middle of Visby, organizes banquet dinners, mingle, sensational fire shows, medieval feasts and other social events. Since Gotland is acclaimed for its high living standards, its culinary culture is an essential ingredient in any meeting here. Enjoy one of the local specialties, such as grilled lamb, asparagus, cheese from a farm dairy, truffles and abbey beers.
Adventures are arranged year round in Visby’s towers and ruins, traditional island games, bicycle and bus excursions with culinary stops, climbing limestone cliffs, hot tub bathing, offshore fishing, outings to Fårö in the footsteps of Ingmar Bergmans, guidings and lots more.
When organizing a meeting, it is smart to choose a destination that caters to different tastes. That makes Gotland a wise choice.
